### For Each Big Tree (thicker than your thigh)
### 1. Three Photos
- **Photo 1:** Back up until you can see the whole tree
- **Photo 2:** Get close to the trunk at chest height
- **Photo 3:** Stand directly under tree, look up, snap canopy
### 2. Measure Around Trunk
- Measure 4.5 feet up (chest height)
- Wrap tape around trunk
- Write the number
### 3. Answer These Questions
Rate each from 0-10 (0=worst, 10=best):
**Canopy Density**
- Can you see lots of sky through the leaves? (0=mostly sky, 10=can't see sky)
**Bark Condition**
- Is the bark intact? (0=bark falling off, 10=looks perfect)
**Dead Wood**
- How many dead branches do you see? (0=many dead, 10=all alive)
**Leaf Coverage**
- How full of leaves is the tree? (0=barely any, 10=completely full)
**Trunk Damage**
- Any wounds, holes, or fungus? (0=major damage, 10=pristine)
**New Growth**
- See any fresh green shoots/buds? (0=none, 10=lots)
**Overall Vigor**
- Does it look happy? (0=struggling, 10=thriving)
