My mission is to help people find their path and walk it as quickly as they want. I lived on autopilot for a long time not having a specific destination in mind I put a lot of effort into walking but I was mostly just going in circles. Then I started to build the tools to live a more intentional life and now I feel like I'm running! I've created a product around the exact tasks that energize me: serving others, creating process, forming deep bonds, and sharing inspiration. Even with a clear path there were a ton of hurdles along the way and it took 2 years of daily reflection, trial and error, and hardship to get as close as I am right now, but I'm finally at a point where I'm helping people.
I got backpacking trips where I focus on the the planning and the planning and preparation so my to the path seekers I'm leading can focus on the restoration within nature and reflection on any insights from the collective intelligence of the group.
I curate group for group cohesion and collaboration around topic areas. These topic areas can focus on the general guidance around life's milestones like first job marriage house you coming to homeowner having your first child divorce loss of other sorts. Or the topic can be as specific as I'm considering starting a new business and need to bounce ideas off somebody. Regardless of topic space the group will be curated so that each individual can provide useful perspective to specifically what you are interested in.
Step one is an in-depth intake process where I ask probing questions to understand a path seekers motivations, current habits, dreams, and relationships. These help me place them into group spaces that they can benefit from and contribute to. Second step is the trip itself where my job as a Pathfinder is to maintain group cohesion and guide interactions towards providing value to each individual, generally facilitate the the space for path seekers to find their path. Third step is integration where I take everything I know about you your present situation and future desires and create a process made up of routines, promoting thoughts, and measurables. Together we tweak this process until you own it knowing that you choose to walk this path you're confident and get with you where you want to go.

- I also really like the pitch. You seem have a strong concept you are developing here that gives you a process for helping people design effective strategies for change.
- Most of the issues I am seeing are little grammar mistakes that can easily be corrected. I however am a devil for details. I understand and agree with your method of community creation based on the results of your intake session. I think the rationale speaks for itself. You then transition into a nature excursion with well defined roles. You act as organizer and planner while the participants act as `"pathfinders"`. Elaborating a bit on what this achieves I think would help the skeptics.
- the participants are the Pathfinders!!!
- What does the guided hike provide as a `catalyst for personal introspection? `
- do you think I need more defined structure for sparking introspection than guiding topics and helping to pull on threads? Isaac is saying that's basically therapy
- Also, what does it provide as a setting for `community development?`
- you think I should lean into the community creation aspect and benefit individuals can get from that.
- Ultimately, if `we` can get a pulse on what that hike is providing us, we can find ways to repackage this concept in other settings. This will allow us to reach people who are less outdoorsy in temperament.
- #isaacUpdike said community is big for me
- I think I would agree with Isaac that therapy is heavily focused on introspection. However my personal experience with therapy is that resources dry up quickly once the individual enters the action stage of healing. Your therapist will work with you to identify your goals. He will also work with you to get to a point where you are ready to pursue your goals. Once you hit that point however, your therapist is mainly playing damage control while you pursue your goals. Depending on the therapist, there may not be a ton of guidance into how to actually accomplish those goals.
- My impression of your mission statement is that you want to design a service that addresses this gap. Essentially, you `bring together people who are in an action stage who have similar goals`. You then connect them as a community of support so they can compare notes essentially which will hopefully help all in the group achieve their goals. That is why I initially assumed your goal was community creation around stated goals.
- a good therapist helps you reflect to identify your goals. Chap helps you reflect to achieve your goals
- maybe I should emphasize the community aspect...oh oh you only have access to people in the community if you've been on a nature experience with them... Like a semi private network. Is there value in that pay to play level network. I like it because you can network with people you've had this experience with. That seems to meet the middle ground that allows people to build a community but builds that community through deeper personal interactions
Did you have a different idea in mind?

- Hahaha. No worries. I like worthy problems. `Attempting to help people navigate our desolate lonely world` is a very worthy problem. Sadly, we spend the majority of our lives solving important but mundane problems. These types of `contemplations` are fun for me.
- Pay to play communities is tricky. I don't think we would be able to gate-keep people from using each other as a resource after they meet, especially if the community forms naturally on a hike. I agree that the only way we could meaningfully charge a premium for that opportunity would be to control that initial contact.
- Glad you guys are having fun! Although it appears Isaac is trying to break into prison. Not sure his plan there. lol.
